ive looked for a wial and never found a species that interested me but i found one the guy at the pet shop had him around back to take to the expo i was going to attend the next day. i spoke with him on if he had any chamelions and he said he had a young male jacksons as well as 2 male 3 horn usumbara's i asked to see both and out of the 2 ended up with the young jacksons (think usumabara might be next ;) )

hes only about 6 grams and roughly 3" in length. the store owner gave me a good deal on a zoo med habba mist witch i got home and set up but it squirts water more then mists it so iam using it rather then a drip system. i spray the enclosure quite a few times a day as it gets below 40% humidity in the enclosure in about an hour or 2. what kind of mister is a good price that will keep the humidity up in the enclosure?

WILL POST PICS IN THE MORNING!

Congratulations on your new baby. I don't keep Jackson's but many on here do. I use a mistking and it is well worth the money. Aquazamp is a good make also.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new baby. I have several mist kings in my parsonii rooms and highly recommend them. Mine have been going strong for about 7 years. :)

i am looking at the monsoon right now any opinions? i havent seen a mist king at any the pet shops around me i seen one in a shop about 9 hours away tho lol

another option i was thinking was a cool water vaporizor from walmart with some pvc rigged up to it

iam kinda isolated here lol (thunder bay ontario)

can someone help me with the colouring i think my jacksons may be stressed this is how he looks most the time except at night when everything is off then hes a bright green all over.

I have the monsoon and just set it up to work on my two tanks that are side by side so I have a total of four nozzles that spray a mist. One system for up to three tanks if,your doing two nozels a tank. You can use one per tank and have it work on 6 tanks.

Congrats on the new cham!

Looks awesome :D I may be getting one at some point

I have had a lot of different misting systems in my time. The monsoon is a very bad product and is not reliable. Mist King and Aquazamp are the only way to go. Don't waste your money on the others

Don't know why you don't like the monsoon. It works perfectly for me.

Just wait... Lol. No, I have had three over the past 10 years and they have all failed in first 6 months. Google monsoon and Cham forums and you will get numerous posts about the reliability of the monsoon. I would just rather pay the $20-30 more and get a mist king or aquazamp. Had my Mistking for 5 years and zamp for 3, no issues

just went to pet smart i go there alot lol they let me test the monsoon and it sprays a perfect mist and its quiet i like it what are most the issues with them?

iam looking at the mist king and it seems confusing to set up lol?

I try not to buy anything at Petco or petsmart due to their continued abuse of Chams. The problem I had is the pump mechanism goes out after 3-6 months of continued operation. They will send you a new one, but it just happens again. The mist king is very simple. The hardest thing is setting the timer

Mistking is fabulous! The reason many people don't stock them in their stores is because they offer it for a really good price directly from their website. If you like to buy local, they're a Canadian company as well. It looks intimidating, but it's actually really easy to set up. You can also choose which sized reservoir you want to hook up to it which lets you determine the frequency of how often you have to fill it up. I have mine hooked up to a 59L Rubbermaid tote and it's not even halfway done and mists 3 cages and has been running since friday

Monsoons also have a reputation for failing in the "on" mode, so people come home to find it pumped out a gallon or two of water...

Mist Kings are pretty simple to set up; once you see the parts, it's real straight forward. The only thing marginally confusing is the zipdrip, and for that you just check the diagram on their site :)

Congratulations! He's gorgeous. I just got my female Jackson three weeks ago and I adore her.

In regards to the monsoon, you may also consider a rain system like the one from AquaZamp instead of a misting system. My Jackson hates misting but seems to enjoy raindrops.

I would highly recommend MistKing and Aquazamp. I use AquaZamp for RainDomes and MistKing for standard nozzles, pumps, and other components. They work flawlessly. I decided on these after reading about reliability problems with the Monsoon and similar products.

Since you are in Canada, you should be able to easily order directly from the MistKing website and get the value set for $100+shipping.

Really nice looking Jackson by the way :)

no i never ever buy from petsmart and rarely from the local pet shop i prefer to buy from breeders my jacksons came from a shop 9 hours away from someone ive known for quite some time now and have gotten several of his Cb and CBB animals from (the cham was farmed)

i may go for a mist king if you all say its that much better then the monsoon.
do the mist kings only spray a fine mist and how oftin/durration can you set them for?

and thanks everyone i really like him his front horn is a little bent but other then that nothing seems wrong with him he eats fine and is quite active (cant get him off the top of the enclosure hes always walking upside down on the very top haha)

does he look stressed at all in the pics tho?
