King Louie is certainly a handsome fella!
In reading one of your other posts, I can't help but wonder how often you dust his feeders--oversupplementation causes problems as severe as undersupplementation does. Your most frequent dusting should be calcium without D3.
Gutloading of crickets is highly recommended, also, not only because they have the opposite ratio of calcium to phosphorus than chams need, but to make them more nutritious in general.
I'm also hoping that you plan to get him some feeders besides crickets.
There's plenty of good info on proper supplementation schedules and good types of insects to feed on this website.
There's a Chameleon Food forum with lots of good info on it.
I mention these things because they're the primary mistakes I would have been making without having read posts to these forums.

I dust with calcium once a week and the herptivite once a month. I do gutload my crickets with a gutload my breeder gave me. I do have wax works for treats every once and a while since they are high in fat. Also I have some silk worms that I give him to him to switch things up.

Glad to know King Louie isn't living on crickets alone.
From what I've read on these forums, you may wish to increase the calcium dusting. MBD is a frequently encountered problem with chameleons.
I was curious myself as to how often calcium with D3 should be given to those chams whose owners don't live in sunny climates (since I don't), so I'll stick to the schedule used by Kinyonga, who's from Canada:

Since most insects have a poor ratio of calcium to phos. I dust at most feedings with a phosphorus-free calcium powder (rep-cal).

I also dust with herptivite twice a month. Reptivite has preformed vitamin A in it and you have to be careful not to overdo preformed vitamin A...so don't overdo it. Excess preformed vitamin A can interfere with the D3 and push the chameleon towards MBD.
I dust twice a month with Rep-cal/D3.
I gutload crickets with a wide assortment of greens (dandelions, kale, collards, endive, escarole, mustard greens, etc.) and veggies (carrots, squash, zucchini, sweet red pepper, celery leaves, sweet potato, etc.).

If the calcium, D3, phos. and vitamin A are not in balance then it can compromise the bone health. Also, calcium plays a part in muscle contractions.

Enjoy your new cham! :)

I think I will switch to that schedule. I live in NH so he won't be going outside for a while since its starting to get pretty cold. Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it.

Nice Cham you got there. Mine just came home after waiting 6 months for him. I even built a huge outdoor PVC cage (I live in NH to)and now its to cold to even think of putting him outside. I was bumed :( Good luck with your cham!
