Gout

Has anyone had a chameleon recover from gout ? I’ve been treating my Jackson with Allopurinol and Metacam orally . He has developed lumps on his limbs with swelling. He is hanging on but don’t want to prolong his misery if there is no hope . He will not move voluntarily so I’ve been force feeding him crickets , and keeping him well hydrated .

Greens , sweet potatoe , carrots apple , commercial cricket food , cubes ,quench , bee pollen .

I'd look at what's in the commercial food and the quencher and see if anything there could predispose the chameleon to the gout.
