My Mom caught a couple grasshoppers and put them in a jar for the kids, usually when she does this I just throw greens in the jar and gutload them to feed off; I noticed one of them laid eggs at the bottom of the jar
.
I took the grasshoppers out so now I have a bundle of grasshopper eggs at the bottom of a jar. How should I go about hatching them? Should I take them out of the jar and put them in sand or soil? Should I just keep the jar warm and leave them in there? It's just a small jam jar.
I've read a couple web pages and posts on rearing grasshoppers, how to set up a rearing box. I honestly had no intention on trying to breed grasshoppers but now that I have eggs I would at least like to hatch them out and feed them off
Any suggestions?
