Gravid female not eating

Yeah she is very week and does not look too great but she is drinking right from me and I even fed her a cricket.

Not sure when or IF I should call vet and try the oxytocin.

Any suggestions?

IMHO you are going to lose her very soon if you don't get her to the vets....and even the vet may not be able to help if she is too weak.

She finally got the energy to get under a heat lamp last night.

She still has eggs but she looks better. She is drinking and I gave her 2 crickets but had to kinda her eat it.

Bringing her to vet tomorrow as the reptile vet is off today.

Why hasn't she finished laying. I agree with Kinyonga, get her to a vet ASAP, otherwise you will lose her. Did you disturb her while she was laying?

No it is very strange. Never seen this happen before.

She sat in her bin for almost 3 days 1st day she laid 4 eggs and then nothing for 2 days.

So i got concerned because she should have finished and looked very weak. Last night she came out and went to the light and I gave her water and a cricket.

Going to vet tomorrow. Thanks.

Suck!!!

Well you were right...I got her to the vet yesterday still in ok shape. Eyes open and walking on my hand.

The vet said hee looked a little dehydrated but also wanted to give her a calcium mix orally.

I was like ok but I think we need oxetocin but he wanted to wait until today for that. So he gave her the calcium and I drove home.

Needless to say when I got home and went to put her back in her cage I found her dead. I was SOOO pissed. I brought her to the vet in ok shape.

I broke down and did the unthinkable and managed to save 20 eggs and they look good. They are in the incubator.

But I am very pissed at the vet I dont know if the calcium killed her and maybe she was too stressed? sucks so bad.

It could have been multiple things. But she was stressed, but I think she was eggbound. At least you saved the eggs. I'm sorry for your loss, it can be hard to get through sometimes.
