Gravid or just chubby?

My female Veiled, Xenu, is looking pretty plump these days. She has been wandering down to the bottom of her habitat pretty regularly lately as well. I'm not sure how old she is but I got her in march

Does she look gravid or just a bit of a fatty?

I'm fairly confidant that gravid would be a much darker base color. My chameleon does this pattern when she sees the dripper hose and is trying to puff up and look big and intimidating or is surprised by something.

So I think your girl is experience the same thing. How old is your girl?

im no expert but looks to me like shes just puffed up, and showing receptive colors. every gravid female i have seen is bland in color like browns and greys

I'm not certain how old she is but I got her in march and she was probably about five inches long at the time.

Have you read any articles on gravid females? I am sure yours is just being all puffy and whatnot

Yeah I have but she has been spending more time walking around the bottom of her habitat while dark than before, which I heard was a sign. Also she's pretty thick.

Take a picture while she's sleeping, she can't puff up, and she won't be able to alter her perception.

I don't have one set up yet because I'm not sure where to get soil without fertilizers and stuff. The local Walmart and Home depot don't seem to have it.

I know you can use wet play sand. I think that is what most people use. I don't keep females just from what I have seen on here. Here is a video for you to check out on how to set up a laying bin.
