hello

Like i said before the seller is going to have a new shipment of chameleons (baby and adult ) so I want to choose a gravid (pregnant) chameleon, because the first time I bought from him a cham, she was gravid, and she died at the second day because she laid 4 or 5 eggs.
So how can i know if one of the female is gravid (pregnant) ???

What kind of chameleons? A lot of chameleons have a different color pattern when gravid. If the female is close to laying you can feel the eggs inside of her, just gently feel her stomach if you feel round objects then she has eggs.

If i were you i'd buy a male cham until youve sharpened your keeping skills. I know your new to chameleons and a gravid female could quite possibly be your worst choice.

Nico's right, and from what I understand, males are a lot more interesting/active. My female veiled just lounges around like a housewife on soap operas. lol

LoOoOoOoOoOoOoOL

Thankzzz guys

But all i wanted that the female lay the eggs and it hatchs and I get new ,clean, healthy and baby chams.
All I wanted from the gravid female is her babies.
Because here in kuwait there are a few people who care and interest in chameleon maybe 10% of people and the 5% are americans.
And I will tell U something but I know U won't believe it.
Do U know that the guy who sold me the chameleon he is the only one who sale reptiles.

And when he brings the chmeleon from another country they put all together in a small cage so you can notice the tail of my cham is gnawn or something like that.

So I just wanted clean cham and it seems i won't get one.

thank U again.

Well just because a female is gravid, doesn't mean she'll lay fertile eggs. You need to have a male to make sure they're fertile...so why not start with the male first??

Good plan. Getting a gravid female to lay, incubate eggs, and hatch the babies is easier said than done. Not to mention if your not ready with feeders for the babies you'll be $300+ deep in costs to raise the babies.
