greenhouse or outside cage

hello,

i have some questions about the pro's or con's

For the moment i have an outside enclosure of (2 meters) 79inch high - 106 inch (2,7 meter) long en 32 inch (80 cm) wide.
I have some extra space for making a big enclosure outside. I can build something this size: 80 inch (+2 meter) high - 197 inch ( 5 meter ) long and - 79 inch (2 meter ) wide

i was thinking on a greenhouse.
But what with UV light and glass.
Doesn't get the temperature to high?

what has youre preference and why?

hoping at some good answers

nobody has an opinion on that?

i thought this was the start of some discussions...

I wanna build something next summer.

I think a large outdoor cage would be easier than a small green house. I would think it would be difficult to regulate the heat in a small enclosed area. Also, with glass or plastic covering, you wouldn't be getting the UVB that you would get with screen. I know there are a few members here that do use a green house, but I'm not sure how they set it up.

I use outdoor caging for my animals from May to October. A greenhouse would be nice but the cost is very high. There are plastics now that allow UV to go through but again it is very expensive.

I suppose it depends on your climate. For me here in Florida a large outdoor cage would be the best option, since I don't need anything to stay warmer than the ambient temperature. But if you lived somewhere that gets colder then a green house would be the best option. And for the sake of being cost-effective I would just line the ceiling with UVB bulbs, but at least you get the greenhouse effect in that the temperature inside will stay warmer than the outside.

Greenhouse

My breeder Bruce from chameleonsparadise uses a greenhouse for breeding his chams in san jose, CA. I visited him once when it was 90 outside and he has to constantly spray his chams down and worry about them when it gets that hot but the rest of the year is great.
I keep my male panther outside, ( he goes nuts when my females are around). I cover his cage with towels and run an outside heater on his cage at night so it stays around 65. I find that going below 60 is not good for my male, especially since he was rasied in a greenhouse. If I can find a greenhouse that can fit on my porch, I may get one for the winter time because I live in California where it doesnt get that cold, but the greenhouse will help hold the humidity plus temps.
Haven't found one yet...
