I was basically given a one-year old ambanja male panther that has strange deposits/growths on both eyes. The previous owner told me his vet said they were calcium deposits. The growths are almost identical on each eye.
It is not an infection and he apparently has had them since a very young age.
He can feed on his own but takes a very long time to focus on his prey items because part of his vision is blocked by the growths. Otherwise, he is in good health, is a very nice color, and has a great temperament. Has anyone seen growths like this before? I have never heard of calcium deposits appearing on the eye turrets of chameleons before. He is originally from one of the most reputable breeders in the country. Does anyone know if this could be genetic and passed on to future offspring? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
