I saw this on CC and commented! It is so true and I can see the little squinty eye looking at me like I am some idiot for disturbing their sleep! We are all guilty of the sleeping pics...come on admit it everyone!!:p

My guilty secret is that I want to touch my Jackson's belly while he's sleeping. It looks so soft and sweet, like a plump little piece of chameleon fruit! So far I have resisted... But I'm sure one day I'll give in to the evil impulse...

Guilty as charged... He looked so cute and pastel colored I even turned on the overhead light to try and get a shot. It ended up being a crappy pic-and yes I got the stink eye! :D

Ok,ok. Maxtu, I am coming over to your house next Sunday morning while you are sleeping in and all snuggled under the blankets. Then take my camera, shove it in your face and BAM , super bright light looks like an atomic bomb goes off right in front of you. Hehehe, just saying, but I bet your relaxing morning would quickly go to why the heck are my retinas burning and I ain't sleeping no more, now I just want to attack the camera. Hahah, but yes I want to, I personally just don't feel right doing it ;)

My baby's gonna have to deal because that's the only time I have a purple cham. I'm guilty of it so often that my older adults never even bother to wake up anymore. This baby, as you can see, hasn't been exposed to it enough yet. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, little guy!

I would think a lightning storm would also be a heck of a way to wake up but chams in the wild somehow handle it. Not an everyday thing, but I think it is natural to want to document their nighttime colors.

I went for two pics and he got super pissed!! Haha

guilty.. I don't take photos, but it is a really good time to do a complete look over sometimes.. also he goes to bed WAY early.. like 6 or so.. so if he was free ranging.. and I forget.. I have had to move him a few times.. but yup.. I hate to disturb his sleep, but there have been times.. enough I get the stink eye, and a grip harder with a look don't you dare move me look! or the half asleep cham kind of barely awake like a little child who fell asleep and taken to bed..

It must be how they catch the wild ones.. When asleep they are really asleep, yeh they open a sleepy eye, but then have NO interest in moving.. no matter what.. most of the time.. sort of weird if you think about it, to be such a light sleeper to open eyes easy.. but then not react?? flashlight, light colors, MUST be far easier to spot at night too.. for human predators..
