Beautiful melleri. Their colors look great. Neither one of mine has ever flared their flaps yet. My male moves his a bit when he shoots at bugs, but that's it. Awesome pictures!

Thank you! I've only seen their lobes flaring away three times, but it's so cool. Usually only when they've really had enough of something, like being given medicine again for the twentieth day in a row.

Thanks Lisa! I'm not holding my breath but it would be great! The next 6 months will be a lot of change for them (I'm moving to a different city) but perhaps next year once they're all settled in an calm we can light some candles.... play some Barry White.... And see what happens! lol

Congrats Olimpia, I've always wanted mellers but I don't have the space. I log on to the forums to find out you're getting a third!!!!! Let's hope in a few years you can get at least one clutch. Good luck with the new addition.

The new unknown member of the clan, here all the way from Salt Lake City. Upset but basking and drinking.
As per my "rule" I'm going to treat her like a female until she proves me wrong. I'll probably settle on naming her Charlotte, in honor of another little female of mine I used to have.
