gut loading

Hello y;all, my first thread ,yeeehaaw!!! anyway enough of that. wondering about gut loading wax worms. Dude at the pet store (a good one) did'nt have a clue. I have a bunch of these and it doesnt seem right to not feed them somehow.I have cricket gutload, mulberry mulch and all sorts of fruit and veg.Any ideas?

Hmm I dont think it would hurt if you give them a carrot or something but I really wouldnt know for sure...good luck anyways

My diet for waxworms is:

Honey Bunches of Oats or Honey Nut Cheerios crushed up.
Keep the worms at room temperature in 1 to 2 inches of the cereal with a drop or two of raw honey.
Waxworms occur naturally in beehives eating the honeycomb.
Remember they are high in fat and should be utilized as a treat only.
They are like juicy little honey-sweetened candies!

Ha! i did read that on the internet and gave it a shot. the honey nut cheerios is what i use. mostly b/c my girlfriend eats them every night for a snack. worms sure to enjoy them as well
