I recently bought some black soldier fly larvae to feed to my chameleon. Does anybody know what they eat, as they don't seem to be eating my gutload.

Okay thanks. Just wanted to make sure they were eating before I fed them to my chameleon.

They are decomposes, but usually come in a medium that serves as their food.

Medium just means "substance" in this case pretty much. Just like Kaizen said, they should be burrowing in their own food when the arrive

I add small chunks of bug burger , scraps of fruit or veggies do well they like heat leave them in a sunny spot and watch the show.

Then again, that doesn't look like what I'm used to seeing. I'd recommend adding food

I feed mine cut up pieces of red bell pepper, yellow squash and arugula

Maybe they were also affected by temp that we kept them in. Maybe our temps were different. I’m not saying I’m right and you’re wrong, my comment wasn’t meant that way, just that that was my experience.
