Gutloading???

Ok so i've had my cham for 3 months now. Ive ordered batches of 250 1/4" crickets from ghanns so they don't grow too much before i feed em off. I make a gutload mixture of 1 leafy green 1 tuber 1 fruit plus bee pollen and spirulina powder(i mix up the green, tuber, and fruit every time) every other week or so. I just place a small amount inside the main cricket pen and let em go to town along with an orange for water source. My question is why is it they only really seem to eat when i first receive my shipment. Like day 1 i get em outta the box and they eat all the food i place inside the pen. It doesnt matter my gutload mix they always eat at first and then the weeks go by and they barely touch it at all to finally it looks like the food is untouched. I understand there numbers diminish daily but it does not account for how quickly they lose there appetite. Am i doing this properly? I fear they are not eating my mixture and thus are not healthy for my lil guy. Thanks in advance for any response.

I just ordered a 1000 3/8" cricket batch as my cham is gonna be 6 months on the first. my only fear is they will stop eating my gutload after the first week and ill have 800 crickets living off cricket crap and egg crate.

When they first arrive, they are starving. They've likely been given only cheap crap to eat (chicken feed, potatoes). So what you offer is a banquet feast! They are likely still eating in the days following, just not as much.
