Hamm 2009 - many images -

Ah, thanks for the comprehensive peek at the expo. Some great animals, though some were clearly mislabeled, as with the "uluguruensis" which is really a brevicaudatus. From the looks of it, the "temporalis" is on the same boat, but more difficult to tell from that angle.

The tigris... wow. Beautiful animal. I won't even get into the legitimacy of some of those animals...

Nice to see some of our own Anaxyrus debilis being admired by the Europeans-- gorgeous toads, and much underrated here in the U.S. And of course, one of my favorite iguanids, Corytophanes cristatus and some very healthy Heloderma and Chamaeleolis (now Anolis)!

Thanks again for sharing the photos.

Cheers,

Fabián

Hi Eric,

I was sooo waiting for someone to post these!!! Thanks a lot! Hey Benny, I remind you you said on a post you were going to post some pics of the Hamm show to show us what a real expo was ;) Did you take any? want to share with the class?? (LOL)

Woohoo - you actually got a picture of the Rudis I bought. They were in the 7th pic down, first post page 2. I got 2 more girls for my colony.

Eric

Thank you for sharing with us. What did YOU bring home?

Hamm looks to be a very dangerou$ place, good thing I couldn't go.

How large is the Hamm show compared to one here in the US?

Forgive me for (maybe) being stupid about the Hamm show, but I have heard a couple of times something about all vendors being required to have available and/or help buyers acquire CITES paperwork. Can anyone comment on this? Is this the norm, or have I just heard about a couple of exceptions to the norm?

Thanks,
Drew

I'd have to deal with that expo like I deal with casinos: leave my wallet at home and just take the $$ I was willing to spend :)

Open a new post with pictures :p

Bah! Of all of the pictures you posted, those two were the ones that caught my eye. Very interesting to see one of these outside of scientific articles or anecdotal stories.

Keep us posted on how they do.

Thanks,

Luis

Benny, she is adorable (that's my scientific observation :p) and you are a tease. No other photos?
