Hand feeding pygmys

Just curious if anyone else has had any success with this?

I started doing it sort of by accident with my female brev-she would hang out on a branch right at the front of her tank and before long I had her zapping bean beetles off my hand/out of a small feeding cup. I even experimented with getting her to walk onto a stick, taking the stick away from the tank, and then offering food. Still eats!

Other than when i sometimes dump in fruit flies, i always hand feed my Pygmy crickets. I prefer to do so because I know for sure he ate, no chance of impaction, and the crickets won't hide in the substrate and harm the Pygmy at night. I got tired of putting a cup in my tank so I tried hand feeding a few days after getting him and now he always turns around to zap a cricket out of my hand. Kinda fun to watch to!

i "stick" feed my pygmys. They love it, as soon as they see that little chopstick they all turn their heads knowing that food is on the way!
