Hand feeding super worms successfully now

I just bought super worms and introduced them to Karma yesterday. He ate one from a spoon and one from my hand. Today he successfully took three from my hand. I love him sooo much! Prior to this hr has been fed exclusively on bug burger gut loaded crickets. They are free range and he enjoys hunting and catching them although he does like them from a spoon sometimes. I want to implement veggies but he won't touch them any suggestions?

The way it worked for mine was that he went on a food strike against Crickets, which is always a pain since other feeders are sometimes less nutritious and Dubias are not always the easiest roommate to convince your family of. But I offered him fruits and some leafy greens.

Typically if you dont offer them crickets/insects they will eat some of the greenery you provide for them.

Happy to hear about the hand feeding. Wish mine would still, he has hit that 5mo mark though and wants little to do with me anymore, specially since moving to his big boy cage.

my veiled went on a veggie binge and totally destroyed his pothos plant before i came home from school. so i took a small chip clip i had nd strung it from the roof of his cage, then i placed some dark leafy greens in it and he ate them.

Karma was very ornery from 4-5 months. I let him get acclimated to his new surroundings before I tried to handle him. I started by first holding my hand out to him and letting him see that it's not dangerous. He would bare his teeth and hiss but when he saw that I wasn't going to hurt him he closed his mouth and calmed down. I used gloves and picked him up and he was upset but I immediately put him in the direct sunlight and now he associates me taking him out with him being able to go in the sun. It's a daily thing but now u leave his enclosure door open for a couple of minutes ( with no crickets in there of course) and I just sit there and put my hand out. Yesterday he actually held hands with me for a bit. He is getting used to me slowly but surely it just takes time and confidence. If they read your reticence then they small danger do be confident and take him or her out and put then directly in the sunlight. They will start to feel like its a treat to get taken out and will enjoy it. Karma lives to sit on my head while I'm doing things so let your baby climb on up. They will start to feel safe with you.
