It is beautiful outside today and was wanting to take my cham out for awhile. My question is how do i go about getting him out there? I reached my hand out to him and all he did was hiss at me and attempted to bite me haha. Some help would be appreciated thanks!

What type of Cham is it? My veiled does the same thing but its basically a "BLUFF"... Once outside the cage he will calm down and let you handle him.
Just be careful with him and if you need to get a glove or a peice of cloth and put it over ur hand to get him out the cage.

Hope this helps.

Oh he is a male Veiled. Ok ill try getting him out with a glove on my hand. Thanks

Hey john. I have a pissy panther and I just got him outside. I mist him till his eyes close then put my hand underneath his chin and lift up gently keep spraying and he will eventually climb on. At least mine does. If you are afraid of a bit wear a glove or get a stick or something of that nature to coax him onto. Hope this helps.

try offering him a stick, use your hand by slowly guiding him to the stick.
don't jerk your hand to avoid making him panic.
and take the stick out.

This is great advice. Be especially careful like dodolah says about sudden, quick movements around him. I almost learned the hard way about this when my little guy had an accident jumping off the plant as i reached for the door handle to get back inside. Hes ok, but i got lucky.. slow calm movements is the way to go!
