Handfeeding Carpets?

I would love to know if anyone who keeps Carpet chams has successfully got them to hand feed! Every time I offer Zippy food on my hand it is met with much hissing and lunging. He goes a very pretty black and white pattern though! I would love to know if anyone has a Carpet that will hand feed - I am keen to know if I should persist in my attempts or just accept that he won't ever entertain the idea!

Zazu has handfed since the first week I got him, he's a pig though, so it's understandable.

That's encouraging! Zippy is a piggy too. How old was Zazu when you got him?

I did get Desdemona to tweezer feed a little, depending on what I had to offer. She loved the little green banana roaches but it was tricky to get her interested in other things. Cassio, on the other hand, was never interested. He was just too shy. Neither were aggressive, they were just a little too shy.

Well, Laurie - you were right! Zippy finally took a waxworm from my hand today! The only thing to top this feeling will be when I find my first crestie eggs!
