Handling too much?

Butters is a 4-5 month old veiled chameleon. I got him when he was 4 weeks old. I handled him every day as much as he wanted. I bought him a live plant and I leave it outside. The past few weeks when he sees me he wants to go out to his plant. Is it still okay? I don't let him stay all day, just a 30 mins max.

Yup its fine. Its how you win them over. You will find lots of youtube videos of chams with lovely cages, who want out and placed in a plant as soon as you open the cage. Plus in about 2 months you will have a teenage veiled, and that teenage angst that will last for 2 sheds. So the plant thing might calm him down and have a lot less hissing.

Thank you. I see on him that he is very green on that plant:) now I'm calm too, that I did not do any wrong with him.
One more question. If I put an uvb light as well next to his plant is he could stay outside as he wants? Cos it is quiet hard to put him back...

I handle my cham almost daily. It's good to take them outside and get real sun light and maybe find a small tree to climb around on. After awhile they will go to the cage door when you walk up and want to get out. Once you get their brains to see you as safety they will be all over you.

He does trust in me already. I think it's started from his first shedding, when I gave him some food at the end of his day, before that he didn't take anything from my hand. Also I found out, that he's naughty. When he wants to come out and I don't let him go, because I need to leave for work or something else, he starts to climb on the light. Well not actually climbing on it, but trying and at the same time he looks me, if I do take him out. And obviously I do, because I don't want him to get burned.
