Handling

Handling seems impossible!!! My male veiled always scarpers away soon as I open my viv!! Really frustrating as all I want to do is show the little guy love!


Any tips please

I know the feeling, mine takes a little coaxing but unfortunately many of them don't take to handling all that well, it may change over time but you can't force it, otherwise you'll stress him out. My first veiled some years ago took to handling really well from the start, but my new little guy is a little more stand-offish.

Since we moved my veiled has had a hard time getting comfortable, but I've had good experiences from what this blog taught me.

Just use my 25 year old trick; find a snack they like, and only hand feed them that snack. You want the worm, you will have to deal with the hand.

I agree with nightanole! Show him the worm and then place your other hand as a bridge to the worm.
