Handling?

Hey guys! I've got a 3 month old panther chameleon and I've had him for 2 months. I bearly bothered him in this enclosure the first 2 months because he was so small and afraid of me but recently in these past few weeks I've been cup feeding him more often and he's getting used to me. Its ideal to have a chameleon that is okay with being handled because I know some absolutely despise it and that is just their nature, but I want him to be at least okay with me handling him from time to time to spot clean his enclosure or snap a few pictures of him ( I'm an amateur photographer ) should I hold him occasionally to earn his trust? I've held him 4 times in 3 months to get growing progress pictures of him and I seem to earn his trust more every time. I'd like to continue earning his trust but not enough to overwhelm him to the point of losing trust.

Thanks!

I would hand feed, and stick your hand in the enclosure for spot cleaning just for him to get used to you, then I would try to handle him.

Of course make sure to do it once a day, or at least an amount that won't stress him. I don't really know his personality, so it is up to you.

Sounds good! And he's primarily eating crickets and I've tried the in-hand-feeding but the crickets always jump away to fast. Is there any safe bug for him to eat along with the crickets that aren't as fast or wiggly as them?

If you are willing to hold roaches, superworms, look at feeder websites. @nick barta can help with this better.
