hi,first question i have is why is your cham stressed out in his cage? and second, how do you know this? if your chameleon is small chances are he prob doesnt mind being handled but as they age most of them begin to despise it lol..if your cham comes to your hand on its own without being forced to do so then just enjoy it as it could end one day..if you have to force the cham fr its enclosure then i suggest you just leave it alone and watch him through the enclosure..i handle my biggest cham once a wk or so and he doesnt mind other times he shy's away, its totally his choice lol..my smaller cham used to be super friendly then bam!! one day he hated me lol so i leave him alone to do his cham thing...its basically all about what your cham wants,if he climbs onto your hand willingly then let him,if not then you know he doesnt like it.:)

Let your Cham "tell" you. I personally handle all my chams all the time, I always have one or another out to free range, meds, showers, or just hang with me. Especially my 7mo. He loves being out, and until they show me different I will continue to do so. And with my breeders Kammerflage Kreations blessing.
But that's my opinion, and my chams

Thats what I say. Some people say never hold your cham and other reptiles. And I say there my chams/reptiles if they are fine with it I can bring them out!!!!!!!!
