Hanging at bottom of cage

My Cham is 6-7month female she has never laid eggs before. She is what I believe to be pre gravid and is all over the bottom of the cage. She’s still eating and drinking but she keeps clawing around the edges of the enclosure. She has a lay bin but doesn’t go near it. How long does this process last?

Sorry for all the posts,This is my first Cham and honestly have no idea what the heck to expect. I have been reading up on it, but everyone’s experience is different.

How big is her laying bin and do you have a stick going into the bin for her to climb in and out? If she’s still eating it’s still early. She could just be trying to find a safe place right now and prepping for her coming clutch

Her lay bin is 12by12 pot with a sand mixture. It’s in her viv with a bamboo plant so she can get in and out

They get very restless when it’s close to time to lay eggs. They pace all over the cage. Probably to make sure that it’s a safe place for them to lay and make sure they aren’t going to be bothered.

She should make her way to they laying bin when she’s ready to find a spot to lay. She may try to dig in some of your plants first but I see you have rocks on them so she should go to the laying bin.

I also have it slightly wet. It holds tunnels
