Hanging cage idea...opinions wanted

So I've got this idea for a screened enclosure I can custom fit and mount in my window, kind of like a window mounted air conditioner. Just an idea for now. I searched for something like it and couldn't find it. Think I might try to throw one . Wondering what people thought?

The large reptile air pvc/soft mesh may be a good light option close to a size you would and be easy on the wallet. LLL reptile has them.

Yea I was thinking of starting from scratch. I can get rolls of aluminum screen in 4'×8' lengths for dirt cheap and have access to lots of wood and other building material. I was thinking of using the screen I mentioned and some vinyl 3/4" ×12"× 20' it's a fairly new material that has come out it like a 1"×"12 decking board but made of vinly. It is pricey but won't weather and is pretty stout billing material. I'm a carpenter by trade.

I literally just built a cage last week on a pinch for a new melleri. I too decided to hang it as opposed to other designs. It's 5x3.5x2. The whole thing cost me about 50 bucks to make. She will eventually move to another area. But, the whole thing worked out well.

So I'd check out the temperature range of this window to make sure the resulting cage isn't too hot or cold at some times of day or year. They need to be able to move away from heat when they need to. So the window would be open to the air, right? Window glass will filter out the UV.

Yea I free range in this particular room so will allow her to retreat back inside is she needs to. I love in Northwest Tennessee so it usually doesn't get too hot but if she does she'll have the option. Hottest the sun room gets mid summer is 70-75°f.

This is Blanche's current set up. I have three more trees but have them outside for a week as they needed it. She loves looking out her window
