Hard time hunting

I bought a juvenile male ambiole phanter chameleon a few days a go, but he is having such a hard time hunting, his tongue barely go out like 2 inches, and he fail almost all the time, i got it from a "good breeder" what u guys think?? Is he sick or what?? I have a female and I haven't see her had the same problem, she is such a good hunter. Should I send him back and ask for a new one???

• Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?

• Your Chameleon – Ambiole Phanter , male, juvenile, im not sure the exactly age. I been having it for a week
• Handling – he is been on his cage all the time
• Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? Crickets, Meal Worms, Super Worms. What amount? 5 to 7 crickets per day, plus a couple of meal worms plus a couple of super worms What is the schedule? I feed him every morning aroud 9 am How are you gut-loading your feeders? Crickets ( veggies, oats), worms (wheat bran, carrots, oats, calcium, vitamin d3
• Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? Brand Repticalcium, and reptiveVite both from zoomeeds
• Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?, I mist him 3 or 4 times per day for 2 min each time, he has a Dripper runing all the time, and yes I been seeing him drinking a few times
• Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? His poop looks the same all the time. And I don’t know if he is been tasting before, I just got him
• History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. Not really.

• Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? Screen, 4 feet x2 feet x 2feet
• Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? Im using a 100w uva uvb mercury vapor bulb I bought it on amazon, the lights are on for 12 hrs
• Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? 90 to 99 basking spot, 68 to 72 cage floor. Lowest overnight temp? 69- 72 How do you measure these temps? Digital thermometers
• Humidity - What are your humidity levels? 60 to 80 % How are you creating and maintaining these levels? Misting constantly, Fogger machine, Plants and Dripper What do you use to measure humidity? Analog Humiditymeter
• Plants - Are you using live plants? Yes. If so, what kind? Monstera Deliciosa
• Placement - Where is your cage located? My room. Is it near any fans No, air vents yes, or high traffic areas? No At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? 6 to 7 Feet’s
• Location - Where are you geographically located? Portland Oregon USA.

Yes, he is been like this since day one. He is been eating well since day one, but takes him like 4-7 shots to catch the food, and he has to bee really close to catch it
