has a cold sore on side of mouth

my jackson has a cold sore looking thing on thr side of his mouth it's gettingg bigger what do i do?the cage is 24 x 24 x 36 inch Aluminum Screen Cage.Most of the time he is outside even at night.i only bring him inside if it's too hot.i also have a mister on from 12-5pm.i don't have any live plant in the cage.the cage is located under a palm tree next to a fence.He is a jackson chameleon.Right now i have to feed him because he can't catch his own meal.i'm feeding him about 10 crickets a day and 1 king mealworm a week.i do see him drink water when the mister is on.right now i'm not dusting my crickets
 
sounds like mouth-rot.. this is very serious..see a vet asap. usually if you catch it early it can be treated... a coupple shots and its done..if you let it get worse it will kill him..not to mention the cost for surgery(if you let it get worse).. sometimes rubbing it a little bit of listerine on a q-tip will help...
