when using hatchrite do you wet it like vermiculite

sorry, can't help. Ive only used vermiculite.

But i hear you wet and squeez till only like 1-2 drops of water drops out and use.

Mix it 1:1 with distilled water. So for every 1 ounce of hatch rite add 1 ounce of water.

your supposeta be able to use it rite out of the bag but it felt dry to me also, people i know who use it add some water toit bein careful not to add to much. i have used it couple times but i like vermiculite better..

I have hatched many clutches using hatchrite. I have never added water.

I put the amount of hatchrite i need in a bowl. pour some water. and then grab handfuls at a time out, hold it above the sink and let the extra water drip. Til it doesnt drip anymore. Just like a wet sand snowball. babies hatched at 7 months 17 days.

I to have seen on the instructions it says it is ready to use ( no need to add water ) but I have not used it and by the others posts it sounds like it has been used with and without adding water ??? It also says it can be re used? I would like to know what others think as I was thinking about using it.
