happy turkey day everyone....well i have eggs incubating since may 2 i have them in hatch right.. i been looking at them every so often but since the six month mark i been checkin them every day. well today i seen one with a slice in it but no movement. i opened it real carefully with tweesers but the egg was tough to get open ...maybe to much calcium or not a high humidity in incubator?? the baby was fully developed but not moveing . when i opened it it had no slimy yolk around baby but the baby did have his yolk on his stomach.but was not awake even after i squirted it with worm water to try to get it to react. i tryed to candle another egg in a dark room to see if its alive but could not see any thing, i used a flash light. i did open another egg cause i thought there dying in egg trying to get out but the second egg had yolk around baby and on its stomach and is fully developed it did move around i mean did a coulpe of yawns i got it in a container i hope it makes it..i dont want to open any more but i dont want them to die in egg because they cant get out. dont know what to do pls help.. plus i dont want to hurt them in any way!!!!! thanks evryone they came so far and yet still so far away... poor little guys and girls

leave them alone.

eggs will sweat, shrink and a slit might open in the end when they are ready to hatch.

they get tired whne they are trying to hatch, sounds like the first one was getting ready to emerge, but the second, you shouldnt have opened.

just eave them be. ntm, the eggs dont all hatch at the same time. or even within the same week.

o man it makes me sad and mad to think i hurt them cause there so cute as babys they still look nice as adults but as babys theres something diferent about them so little ....... i wont touch any more ......:(:(:(

Its ok.

since the babies survived, its fine.

just let them hatch on their own.

besides, your eggs hatched before mine did.

mine were laid april 1, and im still waiting for the first egg to do anything. lol.

:D

i am in no hurry for them to hatch for i know once they do i got my work cut out for myself. plus all the food they will want, i do got a good colony of dubias to help with that. thanks for the reply i wont touch. i ll wait to see them walkin around, just worry alot but to much i guess..

we all do.

its ok.

just keep an eye on them, if an baby is struggling to get out, just watch them, and youll know when you intervene.

otherwise,, enjoy.

:)

thanks from one reptile person to another.... hope your eggs hatch soon so you ll enjoy the same.... :)

wow i really jumped when i seen the slit in the egg. just was so happy then so sad and confused, what did i do wrong, i will wait for the little guys or girls to come out so i can enjoy them. thanks ;)

well i talked to different reptile people about what happen..it seems that this little baby was just in a hurry to hatch and was premature before his time because he or she should not of had a yolk sack on its stomach still that should be gone when born so if it would of made it, it still might of been a good chance it would not be strong enough even make it for that long after hatching it happens and thats nature and we just got to wait for the others to light up are days. so like i said before i am in no hurry for them to hatch because its still alot of work and money to keep them in good health. i waited this long so months are seeming like weeks when your busy....i just want to help them out as much as i can to be healthy... thanks everyone who replyed to post and to those i spoke to...:):)
