Ok so i have a cool mist humidifier with digit controls i set it to 75% but it never gets that high the highest i can get the humidity is 55% and that is for a short period after i mist i have a high pressure atomizing mister i run it for 3min every 3hours and the humidity jumps to 65% then after about 20min the water is gone and it drops to 45% will this hurt my female panther and how can i fix oh also the digital humidifier i have has a adjustable fogger also i put it on high fog at all times makes a little mess but i am trying my best to get that humidity higher

I had the same issue, and unfortunately went to a glass terrarium because I would either be misting every 30 mins for 2-3 mins or the tank would dry out.

With the glass terrarium I mist 2 times a day for less than a minute... works beautifully..

You can always add live plants and put plastic on the outside of the mesh enclosure to help keep humidity up.

In a screen cage the humidity is going to be pretty much whatever the humidity of the room is. Same with the over all temperature. You can attempt to humidify the whole room, or you can do as poster above suggested and cover most of the screen with plastic to retain humidity.

What do you have in the cage as far as live plants? Live plants will help humidity a lot. Also how are you measuring the humidity? Are you sure its accurate? Cheapo hygrometers can vary widely in their accuracy. If you can try doing a salt test with your hygrometer just to see how accurate it really is (very simple to do and most people already have everything they need right in the kitchen).

I have a digital hygrometer. My digital hygrometer has a sensor inside the cage and has a sensor on the display it reads the in and out of the cage
