Having trouble

as far as feeding, I just throw in crickets a few times a week and let them free range (hunt) them down like they do normally. I never bothered with a cup or feeding dish. Sometimes at night, since the cage is in my bedroom and if im online playing WOW or watching tv, I occasionally hear a twang coming from the cage which means that one of them is awake and managed to shoot a crix and eat it. What size crickets and other feeders are you feeding your jackson?

Does anyone else give me so more input on this.

Adjust the misting times to something more like 5-10min, 4-5 times a day.

Gutload your feeders properly, as per sandrachameleons blog.

Give him more climby surfaces. More branches, more vines.

He needs a basking temp of 83-85F.

Calcium on most/all feeders is ok, provided its phos-free, plain calcium, and its an extremely light amount. Extremely light amount.

Get a linear tube fixture, and a reptisun 5.0 uvb bulb.

So my Cham Pedro was really sick. Took him to the vet and and he gave me vitamins and I had to hand feed him. I just got back from work and he was dead just laying on a branch. I don't know what happened. I gave him, everything he needed proper enclosure and food. I feel horrible I ordered another Jackson chameleon before I found out he was dead. Now I feel like I shouldn't have order him since pedro just passed.

im so sorry you lost him.. you fought hard for Pedro! they hide sickness very well and sometimes even when we do all we can we still lose them :( he had a good and loving home with you, just remember that!

RIP Pedro

Thank you, I'm thinking of returning the other one I ordered what do you guys think. I bought him before I found out Pedro passed
