Hi I have had my Cham for nearly 2 days he is only 4 weeks old and he hasn't eaten, although I came back into the room yesterday and he looked to be chewing. It couldn't be the enclosure because the breeder sold me the whole setup, any help ????

Manyu chams will go several days with no eating when they are first moved into new homes. just keep his mistings up and provide him with crickets that are the proper size, and give him time to settle. hell eventually eat. My guy went almost a week without eating when i first got him

Try fruit flies - some Chams honestly can't resist them, they would eat them if they were drowning........
If a Cham won't eat a fly then there may well be something wrong........but keep the stress eased, buddy - it's all normal so far :)

Will do I was gonna culture some but I didnt realize how soon my Cham was gonna be ready, I will go get some from the store. Cheers

At 4 weeks old he should be eating up a storm. Please fill out the Ask For Help Form so that we can better help you and post some pictures please. You have got him too cold, too large feeder or he's sick.

Well he did say he only had him for 2 days. Maybe the cham is just stressed from being moved. My guy was 2 weeks and didnt eat for like 5 days when i brought him home.

How old was your cham? I would be very worried if my 4 week old was not eating. Older chams can go a long time with out eating but not babies.

He was two weeks old when I got him. He maybe ate one or two crickets in the first five days. and yes, they were pin heads. He ignored the fruit flies I gave him. After he settled in, he ate like a pig. I ordered 1000 crix from mulberry farms about 3 weeks ago, and I already need to place a new order. He is growing like a weed and just finished his 5th shed.

Very scary. I would have had mine to the vets before then. My little ones practically ate coming out of the shipping box from what the new keepers told me. When they are so tiny it's not allot of reserve there.

I had plans to take him to the vet b.c i was getting concerned about him not eating. But I couldnt get an appointment for a couple days. Then I threw 5 crix in there the day b4 the vet appt, and he hunted down every last one. and the 5 more I put in there 2 hours later. AFter that, he did jsut fine, and hes like crix are free now.

I agree with you and i've tried to get him to fill out the ask for help form but with no luck /: I had my Herbie at 1.5 months and he had a week period of adjustment where all he would even move for was a dubia nymph... a VERY VERY tiny dubia nymph... He pulled through so I wouldn't be SUPER worried but a little stress over it would be acceptable lol... I freaked though not gonna lie... If you remember Jann I posted like 5 different times haha

I wouldn't worry about too much at this age about over feeding he is a growing boy and they have ferocious appetites! :)

But I wouldn't leave too many uneaten ones in the cage at night, cuz they could bite your chameleon when he s sleeping.;)

Hah well he's had about 22 pinheads and he will even eat of my finger. This is the second day I have had him, his not shy any more rather friendly
