Heat lamp concern

Hey guys I have an 8 month old nosey be, I bought him at about 5 months of age and he is booming with color! He has a newfound hobby of lounging around on the top of his enclosure. The heat lamp sits directly on the roof of the cage and I don't have any means of clamping it to anything. My biggest concern is that he is gonna burn himself. Any opinions or tips would be much appreciated!

I would say check the temperature and if its too hot the try to find something just to sit under the lamp. Also if you want , you can also lower the basking spot. Usually its supposed to be about 10" away
