Heating bulb?

What type of bulb should I use for heating my Chameleon’s cage? I’ve used a regular house bulb 75w and I’ve also used the repti daylight blue light bulb. I’ve heard they aren’t good for chameleons. I just wanna use what’s healthiest for my chameleon.

I dont know if the blue bulbs are bad for them, just that they do the same thing as a regular incandescent bulb. I think I have 75 watt bulbs on my chams... those are incandescent, not halogen. They are harder to find these days.

Are they the normal bulbs that are just with clear glass?

I have a 60 watt white household bulb for my cham. Works great.

Just use a normal, incandescent house bulb. No colored lights.

Incandescents are getting harder to find. I'm thinking about stocking up on them before it's too late.

Does the incandesent have to be clear or is frosted white alright also? Is the heat the same??

Clear or frosted is fine. The higher wattage the more heat produced.
