dont do it chams dont feel heat on their feet they bask so to avoid a burned foot which is their softest body part i wouldnt risk it just bump up your rooms ambient temp

Extremely bad idea.
NOT FOR CHAMELEONS!
Regardless of the fact that there is a chameleon on the package:mad:

The only person that wraps heat cables on trees is Precision Reptiles; I would contact them about that. Oh wait. . . .

Just don’t do it, it’s not a good idea in any way shape or form.

Thanks guys thats what I thought about the cables....

Whats the best option for maintaining night time ambient temps? I mean it commonly gets down to 50F at night in winter where I live and my space heating is not effective so wouldnt an infrared lamp on thermostat work?

I understand that maintaining the climate control is best but my split system unit heating is not working ...

Cheers

Where do you live? What type of species? If its a must use one of those oil base type heaters. Other types have teflon which fumes are not good for your animals. If you have a montane species such as jacksonii that is a great night time drop!!!
