Hello, Brothers and Sisters. 7 mnth old female veiled finished laying her first infertile clutch of 20 eggs. She was as big as a house. She first layed 7 one day. Three days after that another 7. Then one or two every couple hours a day after that. Then she seemed done. Temper has been great, eats fine, & very active. She looks skinny when not being fed but once she has eaten a couple crickets she blows up again. The whole egg laying experience took 5 days. Could she still have some in there even with the way she has been? She has been pooping regularly. Her colors have been so bright and vivid.Maybe just the mind playing tricks but want to hear what everyone thinks.

did she actually dig a hole in the dirt and lay these eggs or was she just dropping them from the plant?

Had a laying bin inside but she did not dig and lay. She just seemed to enter bin and lay them on top of the soil. She was covered to avoid being stressed. She also went down to the floor and dropped some off in the corner. To dig or not to dig. She didn't dig.

She could have more eggs. My egg laying/laying bin blog is attached below. I hope that you will find it helpful.

Often if they don't follow normal procedure (digging, laying the eggs in the hole, filling it in, tamping it down and returning to the branches) it means that there is a problem. Sometimes it can just mean that the eggs are infertile and she is dumping them...but that is just once in a while.

Maybe she didn't like the bin...or didn't like the dirt..? Some girls can be picky. How big is your bin and are you using soil or sand or a mix of both?

I think it is possable she may still have eggs .
