Hi everyone, wanted to say hello to the community! I have been reading this Forum for a while now and have been wanting to join. I have been keeping reptiles for over 20 years now...(wow I just added up the years!) I also build reef tanks and raise tropical fish too. I am very fortunate to own a Panther Chameleon and two beautiful rainbow bearded dragons currently. I have raised Vailed Chameleons in the past, most were brought to me as rescue adoptions. I am very captivated by the species. I have raised many different species of reptiles from snakes to turtles. I really enjoy the world of Chameleons they have pulled me in! I enjoy the challenge and get a lot of enjoyment and knowledge from owning Chameleons. I feel owning Chameleons has definitely made me a better reptile keeper over all. A dream of mine and the wife's is to one day establish a breeding colony of Panther and Jackson Chameleons and one day provide captive reptiles in small quantity to loving homes. Here are some pics of our family member Darwin. He is an Ambanja Chameleon. I aquired him at the Arlington breeders reptile show 6 months ago. He has been an absolute joy to have around.

what did you use for the floor in the enclousre?? looks really nice

The floor consists of Spanish moss covering any pots showing. I have rectangular planter box in the front. With taller plants potted in back.
Most of the ground is padded just in case Darwin slips and falls.
Lighting on top is 12% Arcadia lighting with mixture of grow light bulbs and a day light to balance out color. All lights come on in a sun rise/sun set effect with the noon part of the day being the brightest and hottest.
Built in misting system goes off 3 times a day with rolling fog in the morning and eve one hr after first lights come one, and one hr before lights go off. I too occasionally mist the whole cage.

Thanks so much for the kind words, its been an adventure owing Chameleons. Ill post more pics of Darwin soon!
