Nice! And welcome! It's hard to tell since I can't see the whole cage but it looks like you need more plants and branches in your cage. Also I think I see another cage in the picture, if so be sure and put a divider between the two so she can't see the other animal. Sight of another animal can cause a lot of stress for her.

Welcome as well. I would do a lot of reading on this site as well as others to see what you can learn. I know egg laying is a BIG thing so I would research that and get her an egg laying container.

No I have not red on egg laying.

That is a HUGE thing with females. they will lay eggs even if they have not been with a male. I know that if you do not take care of that she can get egg bound and die. I got a male just because I did not want to breed or take care of a female with the whole egg laying thing.

I hear it isn't to hard, just need to read up and prepare. Oh yea, look for signs of it as well.

Welcome to the Chameleon Forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons. I keep veileds and the females are so sweet and show the greatest personalities. The girls will eat all kinds of stuff so make sure you keep the bottom of the cage bare. She could eat wood chips or whatever and become impacted. The girls do lay eggs without a male even being around. Your girl looks big enough now to put a laying bin in her cage and keep it there at all times.....I recommend this from age 5 months on. I have a few blogs linked below for you. The first is general care with an excellent link from Lynda Horgan's blog Raising the female veiled that will tell you how to keep her cooler and cut back on feeding to help her not to lay so many eggs. Laying eggs shorten their life. The second blog is about egg laying and the laying bin and I've also attached Dez's video on how to set up a laying bin.
