I took him to the vet this morning and he died on the way there :/

I actually went out to a pet store this afternoon and got one from there.

I'm so sorry he didn't make it He didn't look that bad to me, but they can die very easily at that age.
I hope your new guy is at least three months old, as that will make things much easier. You should start a new thread for him, because there are a lot of people on here who can give you good advice to help keep him in the best health long-term.
