i never notice him sneezing or coughing.


im quite worried. he's kind of restless unlike before if i turn the light off he usually sleeps afterwards but now he' still awake.

the cage is on its...side? they need height (4' ideally, like 1.3 meter)

you need way more plants and twigs in the cage. they need tons of foliage/etc to climb around on and feel safe. if they don't feel safe, they stress...which leads to tons of other issues


he seems a bit skinny, but i don't see anything else bad...i don't have too much experience though others can comment better on that.\


EDIT: for the eye, he may have something in it; you can try applying a small drop of terramycin on it (i dont know if you can get that in phillipines or what other name it would have) alternatively GENTLY misting him (or using a saline solution if you have the ability) to rinse it may help...but if its soomething comeing from his plant or cage, then the problem may return (all this is assuming he has something in his eye and not some other problem).

i have ordered my 24x24x48 aluminum cage. im gonna transfer him once he grow bigger. i was wondering how much foliage should i put there, i have an extra pot of foliage just incase it needs more foliage. im gonna add another pot. thanks. the mucus is not always present but lastnight when i checked on him, i notice he sometimes open his mouth to catch some breath maybe because the mucus is blocking the passage in his nose

I would put the plant and some twigs in the current cage but I would not move him to a large cage when he is only a month old. Is one of the lights I see a red light? If so what is ti used for? When you talk to the vet ask him if he has baytril. That is what i have been given for uri (upper respiratory infection) With a cham that small be very, very careful. And if you use baytril make sure your chams gets lots & lots of water.

have you seen the bubble since?

he looks a tad dehydrated, and if he in fact has some sort of infection a good long shower would probably help.

you can put his cage and all in the shower and run some luke warm water at the wall its should bounce off and mist him good, let it run for a half hour or so.

if youre using a spray bottle to mist him and just wetting all the leaves youll probably want to add a dripper all you need is a water bottle and poke some holes with a needle.

a pressure sprayer is a good investment and they only cost about $10

thank you, how much baytril should i give him? anyway there's no red light. that's a 25w basking lamp the one that is used for incubator

what's the purpose of reptile fogger? does it help fight against URI? my chams at the shower now enjoying the steam. i hope he gets better. i haven't seen the bubble since. i went to check him earlier, he's right eyes the one im complaining that he usually closes. is bigger than he's left eye. i think he's trying to clean it? cause it's moving inside and when he opened both his eyes they're both fine. but he always clean his right eye.

About 4 times a day gently drip about 20 drops of eye wash on his eye. A bit in the other eye won't hurt either. With his sitting normally, having all 4 feet on the ground, just drip the eye wash across his eye from above. Some will roll off his eye lid but the rest he should wash his eye with. He doesn't need to be sitting like I explained, that is to show you how to drop the eye wash and not try to drip it right into his eye.

so i should not drip the eye wash directly into his eye? anyway, i haven't seem the bubble but he seems to open his mouth once in a while and i guess his gasping for air. i went to the vet, she's not that familiar with reptiles but she has a friend who is also a vet and is more familiar with reptiles. the vet administered amikacin mix with water in a 1:1 ratio for nebulization but she also said that she's not that sure it might harm the chameleon. anyway, she said she could give me baytril but she's not familiar on how to use it and what dosage should the cham get. have you tried baytril? what dosage do you give? oral or inject? thanks

i went to the vet, she said she could provide me baytril but she's not familiar with the dosage since she specializes on mammals. she said if i really want baytril i could do some research on what dosage to give. what dosage did you give your cham? oral or inject?
