Help! First time with pregnant female veiled!

i dont know what to do...i leave for atlanta in 5 days :( i have her in her cage with a 5 gallon bucket with just the right moist sand to build a tunnel...shes huge but i cant ever get a good pic of her...i don't know when she'll lay, im so worried she will when im in atlanta and my mom won't know what to do... :( shes taking care of them at my apartment while im gone....i have the lights on a timer and the mister on a timer and everything all she has to do is throw dusted crickets in and what not but i guess she'll have to check for signs of egg laying...luckily ill only be in atlanta 5 days...i just hope a miracle happens and she has them before i go or after i get back :( so stressed out :'(

For the more experienced members, assuming she lays while DJB is away, would it be possible for the eggs to be okay if left in the laying bin until he gets back? If the heat and humidity is okay for the adult, and momma veiled decides the laying bin is acceptable, would they be okay for a few weeks in those conditions?

i was wondering that too...but now im starting to doubt her pregnancy..im so confused...i really am...she was fat and showing so well and then all of a sudden bam, back to normal almost...still a tummy drag and the bulges above her hind legs....but gosh im so lost..i really am...i figure i would have known if she laid them because A) the sand bin would have been messed with and it hasn't been touched and B) she would be very skinny and almost looking malnourished...but neither has happened...i guess i either was wrong about her being pregnant or she is pregnant but literally just 2-3 weeks in...when do they really start to show?

figured i'd bump....its been 20 days since she was mated with my male, Cain and she is coming along just fine I believe/hope? She is eating well still, but getting HUGE! I weighed her today and she weighed 118 grams/ 4.21428571428 oz. lol. I'm curious since she has been mated with by another male is there a possibility of some retained sperm and if so, what does that exactly mean? Will my males genetics and the other males genetics come thru in the babies? How does this all work? I am pretty new to Veileds, like i stated before, I was a Jacksons breeder before and obviously they're a BIT or maybe actually a LOT different.....between temps, conditions, live birth, etc.

Whenshe is very gravid you need to give her lots of privacy and cover her cage and leave her alone except to feed because you have a mister and probably a dripper you have a laying bin in the cage she is good let her be untill you leave if you peek and she sees you she will run away let her dig and only look for feedings and lights out and if she is digging leave her that's the most important thing privacy.

If she has retained she will lay two or three clutches from the first male and then the New male will begin to be the dad the last clutch could be both. That is my understanding don't quote me just what I have gotten from all the mixed info out there. I breed my girls one receptive period and not the next and then again the next so that way they only breed twice a year.
