I’m in the mechenry, northern Illinois areaSounds like you’re doing all the right things.
Make sure the vet you see has experience seeing and treating chameleons. You don’t want someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing. I believe @jannb is the one with vet connections and if you provide your rough location, they can recommend someone.
Northern Illinois.Yes, I might be able to recommend a vet with chameleon experience if you share your location.

I did make an appointment a day before Jannb commented but I just got back from the clinic, they were scared as well for a sinus infection but the swelling has gone down considerably in the past two days, so he concluded it only may be only bruising. He examined the inside of his mouth and I was told there was visible healing. They gave me a tool to collect his stool samples and want and update next week!@aellethysir I urge you to use one of the vets that Jannb mentioned, they are the best of the best options. You want someone experienced, especially since you have a hoehnelii and not a panther or veiled which are more common.
Oh good! I’m really glad to hear everything seems okay.
