help how many watts lamp do i need for basking??

hello guys have a qeustion .. at 15 cms from the top of my cage down
i created a wooden log with suction cups for my veiled one that is comming next month but i have a problem with the heat normal temprature in my room is 20 degrees and when i turn the heat lamp on i becomes 45-50 with a 100 watt one.. way to hot that is.. basking lamp and dome from zoomedd..
any advice which watt is right for me.. glass sides and doors top is 50% screen!! thxx already!!

Try a regular house bulb. Maybe 40-60 watts.
 
It will be alot cheaper too if you just go with a regular incandescent light bulb, rather than spending money for basking lights. You will still need the UVB light of course.
 
got uvb exo terra dome ;)
and next to it my new 60watt lamp now
and after 15 mins the temprature now is..
round de 40 bit lower good temp for my veiled thats 15 cm lower
his basking spot?
 
You have a couple options...lowerthe basking spot/raise the light/try a 40 watt bulb.
Trial and error.
 
i was using a 40watt and it didnt really do anything. i think 65watts are better its warm but not hot
