Cage Info:
- Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care? He is a veiled chameleon speculated at around 7-8 months and I have had him for about 2 months.
- Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? Try and handle him Twice a week if he doesn’t make it hard to grab him.
- Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? I’ve been feeding him once everyday with around 8 crickets and a couple black soldier flys. Also occasionally I give him hornworms and mealworms
- Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? I use the repti-calcium without d3 for the crickets every time I feed him.. I also use the eco- terra multivitamin twice a month now.
- Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? I have a mist king water system that turns on for one minute every hour and it keeps the humidity right and leaves wet for a while.
- Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? His fecal matter looks brownish black looks compact and good to me. Also his urate is white but the tip has a little yellow.
- History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. N/A
Cage Info:
- Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? My cage is 17x18x36 screen cage.
- Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? Light turns on at 7:30 and shuts off at 7:00
- Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? I have a zoo-med thermometer that say my basking spot is around 87 and humidity around 50
- Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity? I Mantrom humidity through mist king and differs from 45-55
- Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? I’m using a ficus tree and some fake vines n miscellaneous branches.
- Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? The cage is next to a window in my room I have one side covered with shower curtain so he doesn’t have eyes on me all the time. There is no high traffic and the top of the cage is about 6 feet from the floor
- Location - Where are you geographically located? I am located in Southern California Corona to be exact.
