Help lighting

Because T5s have better quality light output and higher fixture efficiency. I use T8's on all my cages with a 10.0 bulbs. I use a meter tho to tell me when it is time to change them. I just bought a powersun mercury vapor tho and the numbers I get from it are incredible! It blows away all tubing. These thing are great! I have never thot about switching my T8s until these came out. :D

EDIT: I use 10.0s on all my 36" and 48" cages. I am not going to get in to the what is better than what tho...

So the murcury vapor bulbs are good for 48 inch tall cage ? Is that considered a heat lamp as well ? And would you recommend a t5 10.0 or is that to much? What is unsafe amounts of UVB ? Why do people recommend the 5.0 not the 10.0

I just switch from using T8 10.0 uvb for all of my 24x24x48 cages to arcadia T5 6%. The T8 10.0 is good but the arcadia is awsome. Go to Light Your Reptile. The T5 light up the cage and my chams really seem to love it. Talk to Todd from LYR for more info. Made to switch and loving the Arcadiasssss/

u can buy the fixture from LYR. I use dual T5 aquarium fixtures. I bought from a local shop for $45. U can buy fixture from Homedepot or Lowes but those fixtures dont have reflectors. Look at the combo from LYR with fixture, 6500k bulb, and 6% arcadia. http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/48hot5dobufi.html
You wont be disappointed. Plus these bulb last up to a year.

Ohh ok I'm still torn between 10.0 and 5.0 if I go with the t5 light would the 5.0 be better or the 10.0 and they don't sell the fixture for that arcadia 22" there out of stock but will a 24" fixture work with the 22" arcadia bulb ?
