Help me find the right UVB light fixture + bulb

Hi everyone,

I've currently got a 14" Zoo Med T5 HO UVB fixture with a Repti Zoo 5.0 bulb inside. This fixture does not span the width of the cage; I need something around 22".
I was thinking of buying this one: Repti Zoo 24W T5 HO UVB 22" but I can't figure out if it's got a 6% bulb in it already or not.

22" really would be perfect for my enclosure, so does anyone have any recommendations? An Amazon link to the right fixture and the right bulb would be super appreciated.
 
Do not buy that one. It does not have the same output levels with the bulb they include that is not a brand that is tested within the hobby.

You want a T5HO 24 inch fixture (it would house a 22 inch bulb). Arcadia ProT5 with a 6% bulb or Reptisun T5HO with a 5.0 bulb.

There is no such thing as a 22inch fixture. Bulb lengths are 12 inch, 22 inch, 34 inch and 46 inch.

You will pay more buying these off amazon. I will grab you links. one moment. Many places sell the same thing.

Difference is the first one is the prot5 kit by arcadia with the bulb and the fixture.
The second is just the fixture that has a PLANT BULB ONLY IN IT/NO UVB BULB . So you have to also buy the arcadia bulb to go into it and switch it out when you get it.

well I did order the 24" fixture and bulb, and I have a good basking lamp already so I'll just move that one over when I'm ready to switch her to her big girl home. at the moment the only thing I would really like to get but it's not a necessity at this time is a mist king system.. I will probably just get the starter kit when I have the $$ to do so. The screen is coming next week, and I have plans for the decor. The mister will be needed eventually.. because we go away for a week in October every year so my daughter will be coming to feed her. I'll need to have her misting station set up by then.. but I have time. She's in an 18x18x36 right now, and I really hate to disturb her because she really is beginning to like it. But it is too small.

She will be ok, I started my girl in the same size enclosure and moved her up within the first month. Do you have a plant light for live plants?

no.. I don't. Would I be able to just use my smaller uvb lamp and get a plant bulb?

I do not have a promo code. You would want to search that up depending on the site you order from. The other members can help you with any needs you may have. I have not been in the forum due to a death in my family. I just checked in and saw this thread had not been attended to so I wanted to give the OP the info so they could get the correct stuff instead of the fixture/bulb they were going to order, that has been tested and does not have the output needed for a chameleon.

I was able to find one 10% promo code that worked so I used that. But the weird thing was they would not let me order the fixture and the bulb in the same order. They said something about shipping and I had to remove one item from my cart. So I had to pay $10 each for shipping on 2 separate orders and was only able to use the code on one, which ended up giving me $3.28 off. I decided I'm going to get a Money Tree plant for my new set-up. 😁 all is good.

I’m not sure what you have already. But I happened to have a double dome fixture from when my guy had the wrong set up. One side I have his basking bulb in and the other I have a plant bulb from Amazon. You can get a 2 pack pretty cheap. It’s not near as good as the long ones, but it works.

oooo.. I do have 2 smaller dome lights that I used to use for my anoles years ago. I currently have them down in the basement for my crickets, but I really would only need one there! THANKS! I'm going to see if I can get a plant bulb for one of those. yay!!! 😄
