Having a discussion with friends. Is owning and caring for a cham a hobby?

If you do something on a regular basis for pleasure, that by definition is a hobby.

Therefore, anything you do for fun is technically a hobby. Whether it's photography, painting, knitting, cycling, gaming, fish-keeping, chameleon-keeping, dog agility training, etc.

Self analysis leads me to believe that it is a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder , therefore rather than be classified as a hobby , it is probably closer to a form of Mental Illness. I am a slave to my Lizard Overlord and vow to serve and cater to its every need.

Considering the work and knowledge required to be a successful cham keeper, I don't even understand how anyone could argue it is not a hobby.
