Help? My light fixture broke.

Okay so today i went to go turn on my lights for my cham & the lights wouldnt come on so theres a problem with the fixture & i dont have anywhere to get one for the time being, so is there somthing i could use? or what should i do?

If you can't get another light/bulb until this evening then don't worry about it. They will do just fine without light for one day if the house isn't freezing. Alternatively, you could put a little lamp or something on or near the cage so it stays warmer. It'll work for a few hours without problem.

is it for UVB or heat? i would start off by taking the bulb out and putting it back in... if there is a fuse in your fixture, you should tap it or twist it (etc) or replace it. uhm... aside from that i dont know. one day without uvb isnt the end of the world just replace it tomorrow?

its for uvb, & thats the thing i probably wont be able to get one for a few days cuz id have to order one online , i live in an area where there isnt any local reptile stores.

if its the fixture you can get one from a hardware store that will work

yep just take note of the bulb type t5, t8, t12 ect and get the appropriate one, u may want to check the wattage and try to get one as close to the bulbs wattage as well
or and if there is any plastic between the bulb and cage remove it.

if this is your case buy 2 or 3 when u place ur next order. this will be good because u will always have a backup bulb incase somthing happens

+1 its always better to have more than you need never a good thing to not have what you need

thanks for the help guys im gunna pickk up a new fixture today , if not tomorrow forsure. my fixture now has somehwat of a loose connection cause the lamp works for soo long but somtimes it cuts out so im gonnna buy a new one.
