Help needed for baby male veiled

Wow, I'm really sorry for your loss. Thats tough to lose him after trying so hard to save him. I am glad you were able to provide him a better environment and give him good care. The problem was definitely the breeder and store, so I wouldn't worry about that.

If at some point you decide to get another male veiled, I know there are breeders on the forums here who could sell you very high quality animals. Were you planning on breeding your male and female?

Thanks to all for their condolences. It is very much appreciated. We had talked about the possibility of breeding when Raj had matured. It would have been an adventure for sure to try it out. Biggest fear was what would we do with all the babies if we couldn't sell them, or what to even charge. I had many more questions as well. We would have had a few months to research and figure it all out had Raj survived. Now my biggest concern is finding a variety of insects to feed Naven (my female). We were told she was a male by the well known pet store in Snohomish. Sharp, I know you know the name of that place too. :) We didn't feel the need to re-name her after we figured out she was a female. In case anyone cares, we came up with the name because my fiance had purchased him (her) without my knowledge as a b-day present for me last year, and she tricked me into going into the pet store and promised me we could get it if he was still there. We got there and there was a sign that read sold to Naven Johnson. I was disappointed until I realized may fiance had already purchased and reserved it in that name. For those that don't know, Naven was the name of Steve Martins character in the movie "The Jerk". Probably just dated myself but I don't care. Anyhow, if anyone knows of a resource in the everett/snohomish/bothell/lake stevens area that sells a variety of insects please let me know. I would hate to have to resort to giving Naven crickets for the rest of her life. :) Has anyone had success purchasing roaches/hornworms and the like via internet?

Thanks again for the well wishes and good thoughts about Raj. He no longer suffers and is in a better place.

I've purchased quite a few different kinds of bugs online. :) Lots of people here do. If you click the link to the sponsor page, that will get you started. A lot of people raise their own, too. Sometimes there will be people selling feeders in the classified section here.

Unfortunately I don't know of any other local stores that sell exotic feeders around here, but I haven't had a chance to look into it much since the other store closed. Tell me if you find anything.

I know about the store in Snohomish because I have a cousin who has worked there for years, but from what I've heard they don't really sell those kinds of things. That's an interesting story about his name, I am guessing you must have indicated at some point that you were interested in chams? Or just totally random?

In any case I was thinking I will probably have to end up breeding crickets at home and buying the more exotic stuff online unless i can find a better alternative.
