Putting on the sides of the enclosure is fine and what people usually recommend to retain humidity, you have the top front and back for ventilation. I’m not sure what you mean by wires? It should be placed on the outside, I’ve never heard anyone put it on the inside so I wouldn’t recommend it. I just realized this isn’t your thread lol

I have wires from her lights on the outside, that’s why I was wondering if it’s ok for me to put it on the sides where the wires are!

Oh yeah just put the wires over whatever you’re gonna use to cover the sides. My uvb lights wire gets a little wet sometimes but I just dry it off with something. I don’t think the actual wire part is dangerous to get water on it, it’s more of the two ends you connect into it and the light itself, but I’m not sure.

I’m not worried about the light, but I’d hate for excess water to trickle down the wires to the outlet if you catch my drift! So I should try to find some PVC Board? I know Home Depot sells some

Yeah I understand but with the shower curtains or whatever you’re using, it should prevent the cables from getting wet as it’ll catch the excess water and the cables are over it. I use shower curtains here’s a picture

I don’t mind the price but I need one from like Amazon Walmart any co pet stores. I have a block on my bank where I can only use my card on certain websites

A simple little thing I learned when I had turtles was to have the power cords with some slack so they actually drop lower than the outlet and then loop back up into the outlet. Water won’t flow upwards.

They do have slack, but I’m a big worry wart, I also think it might be beneficial for her with the humidity.

Ok got her cage and everything all set up. Anything I need to fix? I also have 3 pothos 1 schefflera 1 money tree and 1dragon tree that’s her favorite.

Put the dripper on the outside, overhead where the lights are. I think you can maybe try filling that open space. I put an idea below (just an idea)

I did have the dripper outside where the lights where. She was not happy with it outside of the cage. She wouldn’t drink water unless I held the dripper in the cage. For some reason she likes to get right up to the little knob and drink that way. It got to the point I didn’t want to have to keep holding it out to her so I put it back in the cage

Also do they eventually get used to the cup? She won’t eat out of the cup at all. She wants them to be on a leaf but then they fall and get lost on the plants

It should come with a tubing? Did the past owner not give it to you? I think you can purchase some, but you attach it to the nozzle and put the tubing through the cage where it will fall on leaves and provide your cham multiple opportunities to drink
Mine even came with an extra one

It should have a tube that came with it, which you place in the cage to drip over multiple live plants and their leaves going down, with the container outside of the cage

Some chams don’t like cup feeders, maybe try placing it here. If they fall she can hunt them down, free ranging is common as well, keepers will just toss in prepared feeders (dusted and gutloaded) for their chams to “hunt” but it’s harder to monitor how much they eat etc...

Wow no I got it brand new from petco. All came with was a white zip tie
